The iPhone 13 family is now official with four models: the iPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro, and Pro Max. There are already four available and shipping will begin very soon.
There is not much difference in terms of the design since the sides are metal and there is almost the same notch, but it has been reduced by 20%. In addition, there are some noteworthy hardware updates to mention.
Let’s have a look.

Design and Display
The iPhone 13 Mini has a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR display, while the base iPhone 13 offers a 6.1-inch display. With two new OLED panels, outdoor brightness is up 28% from 800 nits to 1200 nits. Sadly, the high refresh rate is only available on Pro models.
There is, however, support for Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and the P3 wide colour gamut. Additionally, the ceramic shield coating on the screen protects the screen against dust and water by IP68.
Internals and Storage
A15 Bionic is one of the more notable improvements of the new iPhones under the hood. Apple claims that this is the most powerful smartphone chip in the world, something that may be true considering how often they beat competitors.
It is a 5nm chip that has two new high-performance CPU cores and four additional high-efficiency cores. According to the manufacturer, the custom GPU is 30% faster than the competition. In addition, the new version has a new display engine, new ISP, a faster neural engine, a new encoder, and a new decoder for video.
The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini now have 128GB of storage as standard, but 256GB and 512GB storage are also available. However, there is no word on RAM capacity yet, but the phone will boot iOS 15 right out of the box.
Cameras
Apple’s iPhone 13 and 13 Mini still feature two cameras at the back, each having a resolution of 12MP. The main 12MP camera features the same sensor as the iPhone 12 Pro Max, along with sensor-shift stabilization to produce incredibly steady photos and videos. Also new to the ultrawide camera lineup is the 12MP sensor but without the autofocus of the Pro models.
With these cameras, you can capture much more light than before, which results in better night mode photos and sharper pictures in general.
Moreover, the 12MP front-facing camera supports the increasingly popular Centre Stage function, which automatically resizes the frame size to fit as many people as possible.
Battery and Pricing
iPhone 13 and 13 Mini have bigger batteries, but Apple has not provided specific battery sizes or fast charging information. While Apple does promise a long battery life of up to 2.5 hours and 1.5 hours compared to the iPhone 12.
Starting at $699, the iPhone 13 Mini costs $799, while the iPhone 13 costs $899.Soon, both will be available around the world.
